Luminescence Measurement Device for 35mm Dia Culture Dish

AB-2550 Kronos Dio is a Luminescence measuring device is using a photo multiplier tube to detect the gene expression of the established cell line and the tissue slice and used as a   Luminometer for 35mm diameter cell culture dish. The gene expression in the cell culture dish can be monitored for over several days with schedule time intervals.

The internal culture temperature for a long term measurement can be controlled by the air circulation method and also   maintains the CO2 concentrations by CO2 Sensors.

Additionally, because an inbuilt optical filters  it is possible to monitor up to three kinds of real time gene expression using luciferase with different colors of luminescence

Measuring live cell

In the chamber, constant temperature CO2 gas can be maintained.

In general the cell culture growth is dependent on the controlled temperature conditions from 30°C ~ 40°C and CO2 concentration of 5% is essential. AB-2550 Kronos Dio can provide these conditions a part from the detection of Luminescence by a Peltier air circulation method, it controls the temperature from 25°C ~ 45°C in the measuring  chamber at room temperature of 25°C. And even it also controls the CO2 concentration of 5% through its Built-in Internal CO2 sensors and CO2 regulators.

The time taken to recover was measured when the door of the chamber was opened and closed while maintaining a constant temperature of 37°C. The top part of the chamber is designed to be opened fully, however, it recovered to 37°C in 2 to 3 minutes (room temperature 25°C).

Kronos Dio can set up the culture dishes of 35mm diameter up to eight in the chamber. The turntable is arrangement without cross talk between these dishes. Because the  exchange of dishes is easily possible only by opening the door on the chamber, the stimulation operation of the medicine can be easily done. After the door is closed, a steady Assay result is obtained because the temperature rises promptly. Luminescence is measured for a long time at regular intervals. It corresponds to the Multicolor    Luciferase Assay measurement to obtain the luminescence of three colors by one substrate as the color separation mechanism is build in.
